Get involved! Restaurant week
Restaurant Week takes place every year during Peace Corps week. It's a way to celebrate culture with other Returned Peace Corps volunteers and friends. There is a different restaurant (of a Peace Corps countries) to each night for the week. Since there will be many more events taking place this year, we would like to recruit hosts for restaurant week early! If you have a restaurant suggestion or would like to be a host please send an email to events.
Here's the list of stellar restaurants from last year:
Middle East | Moby Dick's House of Kebabs
Nepal | Kathmandu Spice
Uganda | A Taste of Africa
Senegal | Teranga
China | Royal East
Ethiopia | Addis Red Sea
Brazil | Cafe Brazil
Hosting a restaurant night is easy and fun! You touch base with the restaurant manager to arrange a menu within our budget (typically $20-27 pp), call in the number of RSVPs to the restaurant, welcome guests and collect the money. If you are interested in learning more please email events. All restaurants are accessible by public transportation.
