Marathon Monday!

Apr 16 2012 - 8:00am - 5:00pm

It's time to volunteer at with BARPCV at the Mile 23 water station!

The 2012 Boston Marathon is coming up on Monday, April 16th, and BARPCV will again be volunteering at the Mile 23 water station. We'll be setting up water and Gatorade tables and handing out beverages to runners. This year we'll be at mile 23 in Brookline again (Green Line: Washington Square) - fairly close to the finish. We need 60 volunteers! To volunteer with BARPCV at mile 23 again, follow these instructions:

1) Follow the link in the email you receive from the B.A.A. or go to http://www.baa.org/races/boston-marathon/event-information/volunteering.aspx and choose "Enter Online Application."

2) Enter your volunteer ID along with your zip code (the zip code that’s on file with the B.A.A.) and select “My 2012 Application” OR if you've never volunteered before choose "First Time Volunteer."

3) Complete biographical information; choose general.

4) Choose "Join an existing volunteer group."

5) Find "Peace Corps” in the drop down list; Type the code: "Kennedy.”

6) Complete the remainder of the application and make note of the on-screen confirmation number once you've completed the process. Seeing the on-screen confirmation is indication that you have successfully completed the online application.

On screen will be a confirmation number, and a confirmation number will be sent to the email they provided. The on-screen confirmation is indication that they have successfully completed the online application.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Aaron and Meg at service@barpcv.org if you have any questions. We hope to see you all there again!
