Bringing Hope Home – An Open House about Mentoring
When: January 8, 2013 at 6:00 PM
Where: Cambridge Family & Children's Service
60 Gore Street
Cambridge, MA 02141
In keeping with the tradition of giving to a child, Cambridge Family & Children’s Service would like you invite you and your friends to a celebration in honor of National Mentoring Month and Three Kings Day. Come celebrate the holiday and enjoy a King Cake while learning about our work and Volunteer Mentoring Program.
Cambridge Family and Children's Service is a private non-profit that works with children who have experienced or are in danger of experiencing abuse or neglect to protect, nurture, and launch them into a healthy adulthood. Our mentors spend 2-3 hours a week with their mentee playing together, exploring the community, developing life skills, and expanding on the mentee’s interests.
The Mentoring Program at CFCS is a perfect way to continue to give back this holiday season and share your Peace Corps experience! If you are interested, know of someone that would be interested, or know of an organization that would like to be more involved in its community, please contact me at:
