Boston Area Returned Peace Corps Volunteers

D-Prize Challenge, $20k in Awards

If you had $20,000, how would you solve poverty? D-Prize is a new organization that believes YOU can help the poorest people in the world. We are seeking entrepreneurs who can solve a development challenge and expand distribution of proven poverty solutions. We will award up to $20,000 for the best ideas, and help you pilot this summer in Africa, India, or any other developing region. We believe proven interventions already exist - but many have yet to actually reach people in need. Solving these distribution challenges will directly result in a better life for millions. Challenge topics include education, health, energy, and several other areas. Challenges, an application packet, and profiles of past winners can be found at www.d-prize.org. >> Our vision is to fund a group of new social entrepreneurs, and we are accepting proposals until January 31st. Can you help by sharing this announcement with your RPCVs? Although this website notes that this competition is for graduate students, RPCVs are definitely encouraged to apply.
